FIT4MOM Frederick @ the library!
Join us this February at the C Burr Artz Public Library for two exciting events this month! We’ll kick things off on Sunday, February 9th at 3:00pm with a special prenatal and baby story time—perfect for bonding and learning together with your little ones. Then, we'll be back on Monday, February 10th at 6:30pm for a pop-up mom-only workout, where you can break a sweat and connect with other moms in the community. These fun and welcoming events are a great way to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy quality time with your kiddos. We can't wait to see you there!

Sweat, Stretch & Sip: A Galentine's Wellness Celebration

Join us for a morning of self-care and sisterhood at Sweat, Stretch, & Sip: A Galentine’s Wellness Celebration hosted by FIT4MOM Frederick and Frederick Social! This special Galentine’s Day event is all about honoring yourself and connecting with other incredible women in our community.
Start your day with an invigorating out & back group walk/run designed for all fitness levels, followed by a relaxing yoga session to stretch and recharge. Afterward, take the opportunity to chat with wellness experts from Charm City Run and Alpha Project Phyzio & Performance. They’ll be on hand to share tips on running, injury prevention, and performance optimization — all while you sip on refreshing drinks and enjoy delicious eats from Frederick Social.

Fit 4 Prevention Workouts

On Wednesday, October 16th we wear PINK to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. To mark this important time, FIT4MOM Frederick is proud to announce its collaboration with the Keep a Breast Foundation with Fit 4 Prevention Workouts, a unique opportunity to attend classes aimed at promoting prevention education and supporting breast cancer awareness.
As part of FIT4MOM’s national fundraising effort, these Fit 4 Prevention Workouts will take place on Wednesday, October 16th and merge fitness, fundraising, and education. These classes not only focuses on the physical benefits of working out but also emphasizes the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection. By taking part, attendees of these classes are invited to make donations through FIT4MOM Frederick’s Fit 4 Prevention fundraising website benefiting the Keep A Breast Foundation. FIT4MOM Frederick will make a donation for each mom who attends one of our Fit 4 Prevention classes on Wednesday, October 16th.

Stroll-Or-Treat Workout + Party

Let's celebrate October's spookiest and funnest holiday together with a Stroll-Or-Treat workout and party on Monday, October 28th.
Our Stroller Strides workout will begin at 9:45am followed by a chance to trick-or-treat at each stroller. We invite you to bring along a small treat or trinket to share with kids during the trick-or-treat portion of the party if you would like. Costumes are highly encouraged for both mom and kiddos...we've even seen some amazing stroller decorations in the past!!
Also, please note there is no school for FCPS on this day so we invite you to bring along your big kids to get in on the fun too!

Sweat It Out: Stay active with specially curated workout challenges to empower you to continue, or even enhance your exercise routine with FIT4MOM this summer.
Self-Care: Take time for yourself with our self-care challenges focused on mindfulness, relaxation, and rejuvenation. It's essential to recharge while balancing the demands of motherhood.
Family Time Activities: Bond with your loved ones through fun and interactive challenges that promote quality family time. Create memories together while staying active and connected.
Community Ties: Connect with moms in our community from providing recommendations to meeting up at a FIT4MOM event or planning a coffee date.

We are SO excited to bring our signature stroller fitness class, Stroller Strides, back to Baker Park this summer!
Join us for this * A W E S O M E * opportunity as we #celebratefrederick!
We will meet each Thursday, beginning June 13th, at 9:15am for a workout suitable for any stage of motherhood. Following the workout entertainment for the little ones will be provided by Celebrate Frederick at the Baker Park Bandshell with their Summerfest Family Theatre. From squats, bicep curls, magicians, puppeteers, and more, there will be no shortage of fun for both moms and kiddos! Plus, Kotei Kids Shaved Ice will be there each week to keep everyone cool and satisfied.

Join us for the fourth Body Boost LIVE event on Saturday, June 1st from 5-8pm. We'll meet under the Blue Jay Pavilion at Seneca Creek State Park for an energizing workout, complete with a DJ. Following our workout, dinner will be provided by Cava Mezze and we will dance, hang out, and enjoy a great girls night out to kickoff summer!

This month we are heading to the movies! We invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 14th for a viewing of It Ends With Us at Warehouse Cinemas. Plan to arrive between 6:00 & 6:30pm to grab a drink and some food if you'd like. We'll head into the theater around 6:30pm for the start of the movie at 6:40pm.

Our Village Field Trip

Let's kickoff summer break right! Bring all of the kiddos and join us for a field trip to South Mountain Creamery in Middletown on Tuesday, June 11th. We'll plan to meet by the picnic tables at noon for a picnic lunch and then play and explore the farm. Mom-Only Mash Up Celebration Class

Give yourself the gift of a morning for YOU this Mother's Day weekend. Join us on Saturday May 11th at 7am at The Goddard School (Stone Barn) in Urbana for a Mom-Only Mash Up Celebration Class. A group of your amazing Frederick instructors will take you through an empowering workout full of our mom-only signature formats from Body Boost to Body Ignite and Run Club. Following class, coffee and light refreshments will be provided by Frederick Laundry. We'll also have raffle items provided by Indigo Physiotherapy and Kika Stretch Studios Frederick... and of course, all of the mom-to-mom connection with uninterrupted time to chat and hangout.

An Evening of Strength in Motherhood

We invite you to join us during our regularly scheduled Body Ignite class on May 21st for an evening of Strength in Motherhood with your FIT4MOM Frederick team + DeAnna Houston Yoga.
We will begin the evening with an express Body Ignite workout followed by gentle yoga practice with DeAnna Houston. During our work with DeAnna, you can expect to experience movement linked with breath work to create a sense of calmness and presence. You'll leave class knowing a short breath work practice, so you may regulate yourself during the chaos of motherhood.

Memorial Day Family Stroller Strides

Join us on Memorial Day for a Family Stroller Strides class in Urbana at 9:45am.
Any mom registered for class is welcome to bring an adult family member to workout with them. And of course, kids, both big and small are welcome to come hang out during class. We'll be sure they have fun while the adults get in their workout!
Just as a reminder, all kids who have not completed kindergarten must be in a stroller during our workout. Those old enough to be out of a stroller must sit with the group at each station for safety reasons.

We invite all moms to join us for our second Walk + Talk on Thursday, April 18th at 9:30am. We'll begin at Baker Park and head toward Bakehouse where you are welcome to grab a coffee and/or bite. We will then head back to Baker Park where kids can play. This event is for moms who want to meet other moms, catch up with mom friends, and get additional information about our FIT4MOM programming.
While this is not a formal workout, we do recommend wearing clothing + shoes appropriate for exercise as we will be walking a short distance. We ask that kids who have not completed kindergarten stay in the stroller for the duration of the walk for everyone's safety. Want to join us and not have kids with you? From April 1st through April 6th*, we invite teachers, school employees, and any other moms new to FIT4MOM to join us for a week of fun. You'll have the chance to experience for yourself some of our most popular classes, such as Stroller Strides, Strides 360, Body Boost, and Body Ignite. On top of that we will be offering extra playgroups, a pop-up class + coffee date, and an amazing Mom's Night Out workshop with Indigo Physiotherapy and Jody Barnes, a licensed mental health therapist specializing in the postpartum and parenting journey.
*If you are a school employee with a different spring break, simply indicate that on the form to claim your free week and we will adjust your pass to accommodate your spring break!

Mom's Night Out Workshop | Cultivating Presence with Your Children

We invite all moms to join us for this free Mom's Night Out Workshop at Indigo Physiotherapy in Frederick on Thursday, April 4th.
The greatest gift we can give our children is our undivided presence and yet there are no shortage of distractions in our modern mothering journey. We are thrilled to have Jody Barnes, a licensed mental health therapist specializing in the postpartum and parenting journey join us as we explore simple and effective strategies to bring more mindful presence and connection to our children. Following our work with Jody, moms will have the opportunity to connect with other moms in the area, enjoy light refreshments, and receive free consults with doctors of physical therapy who specialize in pelvic floor dysfunctions including but not limited to urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, diastasis recti, pain with intercourse, prolapse, constipation, and more, and learn about what is common and not normal regarding your pelvic floor from Indigo Physiotherapy.

Our Village Field Trip | Mommy + Me Music Class

We are excited to host Renee's Music Studio for a field trip on Tuesday February 27th at 9:45am at the Shafer's Mill Community Center in Urbana.
Renee has been teaching children music for over 20 years and is bringing an experience known as "Music and Me with Ms. Renee" which is an engaging and interactive experience designed for children and their caregivers. This lively class incorporates singing, movement, and the exploration of various musical instruments, creating a dynamic environment where children can discover the joy of music while strengthening the bond with their caregivers and socializing with peers. This class is appropriate for mom and children 6 months and older.

Kicks Karate Field Trip

We are excited to share that Kicks Karate is hosting FIT4MOM Frederick for a field trip on Tuesday January 16th at 11am. This field trip is the perfect way to get out and move together on this FCPS no school day. Kicks Karate will get the kids kicking, blocking, playing games, and having fun during this fun event for kiddos at least 3 years old. Have a younger sibling who wants to join? No problem, they can participate with your guidance as well.

Mom's Morning Out

Our last Boost + Breakfast was such a hit that we decided we should kickoff our first 2024 Mom's Morning Out with this mom favorite! Join us for all or part of the morning...
- Boost will begin at 7am at Kicks Karate in Urbana; we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early so you have time to get situated prior to the workout starting. (SPACE IS LIMITED. PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A SPOT.)
- Following our Boost workout we will head over to Pumpernickel + Rye. If you are only attending the breakfast + coffee portion of our morning, plan to arrive at about 8:15am.
For those new to Body Boost...Body Boost® is a mom-only, total-body workout that is challenging, empowering, and energizing. By combining cardio, strength, core training, and meditation, you will leave this workout refreshed and recharged for all that comes with motherhood. Please wear clothes and shoes you can exercise in.

Mom's Night Out
December 9, 2023 5pm
Join FIT4MOM Frederick for a Holiday Sip + Shop in Downtown Frederick! On December 9th at 5pm, we will start our night at JoJo’s Restaurant & Tap House for happy hour. Order a drink and/or an appetizer to fuel up for the holiday shopping ahead at Retro-Metro, the Muse, & more which will start around 6pm. We will end the night with a nightcap at Hootch & Banter around 7:30pm where we can show off our purchases, see the floating lighted sailboats, and relax with friends.
Moms are welcome to attend December’s MNO at any point in the evening. Stay for the whole event or pop in for just shopping or drinks! Not sure where we are in our evening out? We will provide you with a contact number to get in touch with a team member so you can meet up with us for the fun. Please RSVP by December 7. Looking forward to having some holiday fun!

Fit4baby Holiday Open House

Are you expecting a little bundle of joy in 2024? If so, we invite you to a FREE Fit4baby Holiday Open house on Wednesday December 20th at 6:15pm. This event will be held at the Goddard School of Urbana and is a great opportunity to come get a taste of our signature prenatal workout. After a preview of our Fit4baby workout you will learn what the six week program has to offer you as an expecting mama. There will even be a chance to win some fun raffle items. Space is very limited so be sure to register ASAP.

Harvest Hustle

We are honored to be a part of the Harvest Hustle 5K supporting The Yellow Ribbon Fund this Veteran's Day. Join us this Saturday November 11th at Watkins Park in Mt. Airy as we lead the Harvest Hustle warm up and walk, jog, and run to support an important cause.
Registration is free and donations are requested to participate in either the 5K or 1 mile Stroller Stride. You can register and donate below. Race day registration is also available!
