A FIT4BABY Mom’s Experience: From Pregnancy to Postpartum

Staying active has always been a big part of my life, so when I found out I was pregnant, it was important to me to find ways to keep exercising throughout the duration of my pregnancy.

I took my first FIT4BABY class when I had just entered my second trimester and kept going all the way until the week before my daughter was born.

The class structure itself is great! It’s a mix of exercise, community building, and education, which was especially helpful as a first-time mom. The exercises focused on strength needed for pregnancy and childbirth, and could easily be scaled up or down depending on how you’re feeling.

Perhaps even more meaningful to me was the connection made with other moms through the FIT4BABY classes. It is so nice to meet other women going through the same thing to ask questions, share ideas, and talk through this phase of our lives.

Now that my baby is born, I’ve already met up with other FIT4BABY moms and their kids for playdates and walks around town.

I absolutely attribute FIT4BABY not just to my physical health during pregnancy (and postpartum recovery), but my mental health as well.

This program was probably the best thing I did for me during my pregnancy, and I can’t wait to do it all again for future pregnancies.
